Before he was conceived in the womb, before he was delivered at the hospital, and before he was given the name James Alfred Hill, God had already ordained him as a vessel for His service. Born on September 23, 1960, he entered this world as a messenger with a divine purpose. James Alfred is the seventh of eight children born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hill Sr. As the Book of Jeremiah declares, “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.” Many are called, but Apostle Hill was truly chosen.

Rooted Early in Faith

At the age of ten, James Hill was baptized at Mount Bethel Church of Christ Holiness USA under the leadership of the late Reverend J. T. Hill, who was not related to him. His journey of service extended beyond the church when he dedicated eight years to the United States Army in Military Intelligence, receiving an honorable discharge in 1986. His life is a living testimony of God’s transforming power—taking a broken vessel and reshaping it into a useful, purified servant, renewed in body, mind, and spirit to hear the voice of God.

Divinely Orchestrated

In 2001, while visiting Florida for a friend’s wedding, James met his soulmate, Loretta. He was the best man, and she served as the wedding coordinator. Their meeting was divinely orchestrated, and four years later, on September 3, 2005, James and Loretta were united in holy matrimony. Today, the couple resides in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, continuing to walk in their ordered steps from the Lord.

Called, Equipped, and Consecrated

After many years of recognizing God’s call on his life, James Hill accepted the mandate to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He preached his initial sermon, “The Light,” and was licensed as a Minister under the pastorate of Dr. Loretta D. Hill at Spoken Word Deliverance Worldwide Ministries, Inc. His spiritual and academic growth continued as he earned his Bachelor of Christian Education from Omega Bible Institute and Seminary on April 21, 2008. He was ordained as an Elder and Pastor in January 2009 and later consecrated for apostolic ministry.

A Commitment to Excellence

Apostle Hill pursued excellence in biblical education. He received his Bachelor of Biblical Studies in June 2006 and went on to earn his Doctor of Divinity Degree in April 2008, both from Omega Bible Institute and Seminary. He was affirmed as an Apostle by Apostle Jessie M. Edrington, under whom he served as Chief Consecrator. These milestones reflect his commitment to spiritual and academic growth, preparing him for the global ministry work he continues to carry out.

A Revelatory Voice for This Generation

Today, Apostle James Alfred Hill faithfully serves as Pastor of Spoken Word Deliverance Worldwide Ministries, Inc. He carries a powerful anointing and has been uniquely appointed by God to sound the shofar, proclaiming the call of the Lord. His life stands as a testimony of divine purpose, obedience, and transformation, reflecting the glory of God in every step of his journey.
